I just opened my cox bill. $89.something. Ridiculous. They are charging me $50 for cable television service I do not have. Why would I have cable tv?? tell me that? I don't have a sofa or a tv stand! oh...not to mention I didn't order cable. In fact, I specifically told them "no cable tv." Oh so many issues with cox. Also, my electricity bill is not exactly cheap because of those few days in august where I had to lower it down to 50 degrees to get it to blow SLIGHTLY. That was before my apartment complex gave me a new unit. Yes, I moved into a unit whose AC unit wasn't working when I moved in. How efficient. Plus, I had to wait 5 days or so for them to do anything about it. Ridiculous. Also! I paid for a parking pass back in July. July. And I'm still waiting for it. This morning, I just had a rush of panic--what if I get towed? So I wrote a note and left it on my dashboard. I won't be able to go to the parking people on campus until after class at 3:30. So!! My day is going to be busy. I'd like to finish, or at least make some headway in my presentation for seminar. I need to do a chapter 2 outline for cognitive. I need to buy stamps. I need to pay my electricity bill and call cox. I need to buy food. I need to wrap up my statistics homework and explain my data and results.
Blah.
I just wanna watch a movie

So...I had pink eye on Saturday...and now while the pink eye is gone, I have a terrible headache starting from behind my eyes and my hearing feels slightly stuffy. And this morning, my eyes didn't open right away and it hurt to open them (and took a little effort) and then to keep them open (perhaps dryness) and it then hurt to keep my eyes closed. If my eyes are clsed too long, it hurts when I finally open them--light sensitivity perhaps? ...and why?
Of course, *I* would be the on suffering from half a dozen of the side effects from the friggin eye drops now that I read about it online. Who would have known that prescription eye drops can cause deafness? and vertigo (yesterday), and increased corneal pressure amongst other things...ugh.
Dr. appt tomorrow morning if these symptoms don't go away...

Why can't I wake up in the morning with the sniffles or perhaps a sore throat like normal folk? Why do I have to wake up in the morning with something obscure like pink eye?

Alright. So, you have a few days off for Mardi Gras and you are bored and don't know what to do. Perhaps you find yourself with your boyfriend/girlfriend and you two are sitting around, not doing anything, muttering about "what if we had a wii to entertain us" (or however you spell the new nintendo system). I would just like to say that the magnificent Kelly's photographs are up on the 2nd floor of the art building in the gallery and they are spectacular!!! SO! While you are on campus, I would encourage all 2 people who read my livejournal to go and check them out! Frankly, if you don't...it's your loss because one day you could have said something along the lines of "I saw that photographer's work when she was just starting out" but if you don't go see them...then you won't be able to truthfully say that now can you?

Seriously, guys, they are really stunning

I wish
-I had syllabi with the dates of our exams
-I knew when my exams are so I don't feel nervous about going to class and being surprised
-This History of Modern Psychology would move on from Greek history and start putting some real powerpoints up instead of a picture of Plato that stays up all class.

Other than that...it's a good day!

Wow. I've been going all day...and I finally get a break in the deserted hallways of Coates. My phone's about to die and that makes me sad, but I'm just glad I don't feel rushed to run off somewhere. The morning started out like any other. Scarffing down insane amounts of food at the Pentagon with Rachael and rediscovering (since Monday) my secret love for biscuits with sausage gravy. Then off to the library to photocopy some stuff, class, grading, lab, lab meeting, fun little chat with Dr. McD, and now here I am. Now other people will be using the lab to both run experiments and create them (make recordings etc) so it won't be just me, but I hope I will be able to work with no problem in the wee hours of the morning as I planned to early in the semester since I am up then any way :) If I am scheduled to be somewhere, I'll be there. If I have set hours, I'll abide by them. Otherwise, I slack and am like "ehhhh...I'll just do a few more hours tomorrow..." :) I'm looking forward to finding a good rhythm and just coasting on out for the rest of the semester!! :)

Yay for only 4 more months of undergraduate education!
